The Matipo Club, to be opened at 91 Matipo Street, has been initiated by Sunnyside Hospital staff and members of the Riccarton community. It will provide leisure and social activities as

well as be a drop-in centre where friendships can develop. All activities will aim to build up selfesteem. As members of the club become more confident they will be able to plan programmes so the club feels more their own.

The. planned opening date is Tuesday, May 31, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The club will be open each Tuesday at the same time. The cost will be 50c per person each session, plus extra for lunch. For offers of help or for more information phone 489-045 between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.
