The tower
: Sir, —I believe that yesterday’s editorial (April 6) on the tower was somewhat misleading in saying "the proposal has been widely unpopular,” rather, it has been opposed by a vocal minority. After all the City'Council had no trouble sticking up the rates on the basis of a referendum; I’m sure they’d have no trouble Sticking up a tower on the basis of a referendum. — Yours, etc., BRUCE S.
