TABLE TENNIS The closely foujht summer inter-club table t mnis competition has readied an interesting stage with any of the top three tealns capable of winning the A grade title in the final found text week. This week Riccarton I narrowly beat Avonside II in spite of Lyndon White .who won his three sin ’les' for the Riversiders. Dallington rega ned second place by one point with a solid win against Linwood I. John Baxter retrieved well in this game to remain unbeaten for the evening. In the final round next Wednesday. Riccarton plays Dallington and tre winner of this contest will vie for the title with Avon side which should have a comfortable win against Linwood. Players outside the top section who won all their singles matches in the latest round were Karl Entv istle, Karen Hines, a junior, and the improving Greg Buzzard.
