P-West moves
Prime-West Corporation, a Christchurch-based property and investment group, has acquired White Developments, Ltd, a private property investment company.
White Developments owned substantial commercial properties in the North Island which would enhance PrimeWest’s property portfolio, said Mr Neil Blair, the executive chairman of Prime-West. The consideration for the transaction involved the issue of 13,750,000 shares of 5c each in Prime-West at a premium of 15c each, with the balance payable in cash.
Prime-West has also extended its activities in the eyewear industry. Cantarus Industries, Ltd, the wholly owned Prime-West subsidiary holding the group’s photographic and eyewear interests, has acquired the consumer eyewear division of New Zealand Optical, Ltd. The transaction involved a cash settlement.
