Bob Dylan
Sir,—What a wonderful surprise it was on Saturday to see a review of a book on the rugby ethos degenerate into an
indignant treatise on Bob Dylan. I think Mr Hutchins’s description of Dylan as a “rugged, little, jumped-up individualist” is a perfect summation of all that is attractive about the man, but A. K. Grant’s spirited defence will take pride of place in my scrapbook of Dylan memorabilia. — Yours, etc., JOHN HURRELL. * January 23, 1988.
