Council rents to rise
Rents for Christchurch City Council public housing will increase between $lO to $l5 a week from April 21.
The public utilities committee approved the new rents at a meeting yesterday. The new rental for a bedsitter will be $57.50 a week, a onebedroom unit from $7O to $75, a twobedroom unit $95 and a three-bedroom unit $lO5. There will be an additional rental of $8 a week for a garage and $5 a week for a carport.
