SEES' TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING, ACT 1977 WAIMAIRI DISTRICT SCHEME PUBLIC NOTIFICATION OF VARIATIONS TO DISTRICT SCHEME (Second Review) THE Council has prepared the following variations to the District Scheme Review. Variation No. 26 Upper Riccarton Residential Zone This variation creates a new zone to be called the Upper Riccarton Residential Zone on the south-east corner of Riccarton Road and Hansons Lane. This land is zoned Residential G in the District Scheme (Second Review). The Council proposes a new zone which in particular provides for multl-unlt residential development and travellers’ accommodation. Provision is made in the Upper Riccarton Residential zone for the full range of permitted uses in the Residential G zone, except dairies. Variation No. 27 Extension to Technology Park Zone This variation extends the Technology Park Zone by including a further two areas of 5740 sq m and 2823 sq m. The first of these areas is immediately adjacent to the hew technology park road (Sir William Pickering Drive) and fronts on to Sheffield Crescent. The present industrial L zoning precludes this property from having access to the new road. The second piece of land is a small triangular section adjacent to the Russley Golf Course, which is currently zoned Rural H. The Technology Park zone permits a range of activities which generally fall within the category of “High Technology” together with uses seen as ancillary or complementary to these. Details of the above described variations may be inspected at the following places at any time when they are open to the public: Waimairl District Council offices, Corner Jeffreys and Clyde Roads, Fendalton.
