Lesson for N.Z.
NZPA Sydney New Zealand must learn from its World Series Cup one-day competition against Australia, which ended in a six-wicket loss in Sydney yesterday, said the captain, Jeff Crowe. Australia won the finals 2-0, and made it clear yesterday that it was the better side in ’ the limited overs version of the game. ' It has now won 16 of its last 18 one-day internationals, and Crowe said New Zealand must absorb much of Australia’s expertise. He confirmed he is available to lead New Zealand against England in the upcoming home test series. Full report, back page.
