Firemen douse a fire in a storage shed in Lowe Street, Christchurch. The fire sent a large column of black smoke high over the city shortly after 11 a.m. yesterday. The fire, in Bramwell Scaffolding’s yard, damaged the shed and a large pile of seating for scaffold stands. The cause of the blaze is being investigated by fire safety officers.
