Hearings in final round

PA Wellington The Royal Commission on Social Policy ends the final round of public hearings next week, with meetings in Wellington and the King Country. The hearings will be the last of almost 100 such meetings, among these some 36 marae meetings. The Royal Commission co-ordinator of communications, Trish Hall, said written submissions were still coming in. In spite of the commission having brought forward the initial reporting date, all submissions received up to the closeoff date of January 31 would still be considered, she said. Written submissions can be sent to the Royal Commission on Social Policy, P O Box 5192, Wellington.
