Boon wins award

NZPA Melbourne The Australian opener, David Boon, has won the International Cricketer of the Year award for his performances in the test and one-day series. The chunky Tasmanian is the third Australian player to win the award since it was initiated in 1979-80, the others being Dennis Lillee and Bruce Yardley.
