All Blacks on ice

PA Wellington The All Blacks will be on ice in Japan soon, but this

time they will be represented by a snow sculpture created by the New Zealand team competing in the thirty-ninth Sapporo International Snow Festival. A five-person New Zealand team will leave New Zealand to compete in the annual festival on Monday. It will be the sixth time New Zealand has been represented at the international festival. Two years ago New Zealand won a gold medal in the B-grade of the snow carving competitions at the festival which entitled the country to graduate to the A-grade and compete against the best snow sculptors in the world. The team leader, Pamela Howard-Smith, of Auckland, chose to carve an All Black rugby lineout at the show.
