Lincoln College is situated 20 kilometres from the centre of Christchurch, New Zealand and is a constituent College of the University of Canterbury, with its own Council and Professorial Board. There are approximately 1700 registered students, including 250 postgraduates. Applicants should possess a degree in Science, Agricultural Science or Veterinary Science and have postgraduate experience in animal physiology. The appointee will have teaching duties at diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate levels In animal physiology, and will contribute to the teaching of animal physiology with regard to ruminant and other species. A person with research interests in the physiology of growth or mineral metabolism is required. Commencing salary will be at a step commensurate with qualifications and experience within the range NZ532,000 — NZ538,500 per annum. NZI Corporation Limited has made a long-term commitment to the University In support of research and teaching in banking and insurance. The Department of Accounting and Finance is one of five departments in the School of Commerce, the other four being Commercial Law, Management Studies and Labour Relations, Marketing and International Business, and Management Science and Information Systems. The NZI Chair in Banking and Insurance is the fifth chair in the Department; the others being in Accounting (Professors D. M. Emanuel and J. B. Tabb, with a third newly established chair under advertisement) and in Finance (Professor R. G. Bowman). Staff In the Department of Accounting and Finance are responsible for teaching and resarch in a range of accounting and financial subjects. Applicants for the NZI Chair in Banking and Insurance should have: — A strong record of teaching, research and publication in a discipline central to banking and insurance.
