Tramper carried from bush
A Blenheim search and rescue team yesterday morning carried an exhausted tramper from the Top Valley, near the Wairau River. A search was mounted for the tramper after his female companion walked out of the area at 5 p.m.
on Saturday and told the police he had collapsed near the Arm Chair stream. Two search teams were flown into the area but were unable to begin searching until early yesterday because of failing light.
