Greymouth inquiries
Five horses were stood down from racing after the first night of the Greymouth meeting on Saturday. Adelphi Gold, Holitimer, Another Kim, Good Haven, and Kawatiri must all trial satisfactorily on two occasions before racing again. Ray Reekie, the trainer of I’m Tough, was fined $lOO for starting the filly with faulty gear, Stephen Doodie was fined $5O for failing to notify a change of driver for Gunner Morris, and Mike de Filippi, the driver of Never New in the Wrightson Dalgety Handicap Pace, was fined $5O for being late to check out. The connections of False Mood and Always Smile were granted permission to race their horses with a shadow roll on tire second night of the meeting tomorrow.
