Resourceful reporter
PA Levin Startled Levin Borough councillors looked up to see a face at a secondstorey window on Monday evening. The man at the window was the local policeman standing on a veranda outside. Could you open the door please, he asked. A local radio reporter had found the street door
locked when he arrived for the council meeting. Telephone calls to the borough office brought no reply. The reporter complained to the police that he had been shut out of a public meeting. The Mayor, Mr Sonny Sciascia, apologised. The door could have been locked by a cleaner leaving, he explained.
