Fees collected
Outstanding public broadcasting fees totalling $432,119 have been collected from addresses in Christchurch and most of Canterbury’s small towns. Inspectors have visited 30,709 households during the campaign and collected fees from 4974 Christchurch addresses, and from 900 in Rangiora, Ashburton and outlying areas.
Follow-up letters have been sent to people who have not replied to the first letter left by the inspectors. More letters will be sent, and follow-up visits will start in February.
The small towns which have not been visited yet are Darfield, Hororata, Diamond Harbour, and Akaroa.
