N.Z. honour
New Zealand Expo’s Commissioner General, lan Fraser, has been elected Vice-President of the College of Commis-sioners-General deputising to Spain’s Dr de Lario, whose country hosts the next Expo in 1992. The College represents all international participants at Expo *BB and Mr Fraser’s election is regarded as a considerable honour for New Zealand. “New Zealand has been at only one other Expo; nearly 20 years ago, at
Osaka. So it is a notable tribute to our national effort that we have been voted to a leadership role for Expo,” Mr Fraser says. The position as Number Two in the College means a more significant role for New Zealand than simply operating a pavilion. There is now an involvement in the over-all administration of what is shaping up as a runaway success and the biggest single event in the history of Australia.
