Appeal dismissed
The' appeal by the Prebbleton horseman, Colin John Waters, against a two-year disqualification and a fine of $l5OO for corrupt practice with the trotter Jacee, was dismissed in Christchurch recently. The appeal judges, Messrs R. H. Duff (Chairman), B. H. O’Malley and G. P. F. Thompson, also directed Mr Waters’ deposit of $lOO be forfeited and the appellant pay a further $4OO to the Harness Racing Conference for costs arising from the appeal.
