The doyen of Canterbury Suburban cricket, Mr Norm Stokes, shows that his batting technique has not been impaired by the passing of the years as he faces a few friendly deliveries before attending a function in his honour at Lancaster Park last evening. Mr Stokes is the patron of the Canterbury Suburban Cricket Association, and has been associated with it either as a player or administrator for 60 years.
