Tense backgammon final
Forty contestants from throughout New Zealand contested the Christchurch Backgammon Club’s annual championsships at the Tregattis Restaurant over the weekend.
Rob Mercer (Christchurch) won the Reese Brothers trophy, beating Neil Mclntosh (Christchurch) by 19 points to 18 in a tense final. The plate was won by Kelly Moses, of Wellington.
