NZPA-AP Johannesburg, , South Africa The Wimbledon champion, Pat Cash, beat the fifth seed, Amos Maasdorf, of Israel, 6-3, 7-6, yesterday to advance to the finals of the $U5375,000 South African Open tennis championship.
Cash, the top seed, wIU play today for the title against the third seeded American, Brod Gilbert, who beat Andros Gomes of Ecuador, the second In the women’s singles finals, the top seed. Gretchen Magers, beat fellow American, Louise AUen, 6-7, 7-6, 6-4, to win.
