NZPA Tokyo The New Zealand Rugby Football Union chairman, Mr Russell Thomas, may find himself sitting near Emperor Hlrihito’s nephew, Prince Mikasa, at the National Stadium in Tokyo later this month. The Japan Rugby Union chairman, Mr Shlgeru Konno, said in an Interview with NZPA that Prince Mikasa had told him he wanted to go and watch the matches. Wayne Shelford’s 1987 New Zealand team flew to Japan last evening to begin the first tour by an All Black team. Mr Thomas has been invited to Japan as a guest of the J.R.U. for the final matches of the tour.
