Australian horses nominated
Two Australian horses are late nominations for the Canterbury Jockey Club’s New Zealand Cup meeting. Hidden Power, a New Regent filly from an American mare, trained in Melbourne, has been nominated for the Wrlghtson One Thousand and the Feltex Two Thousand Guineas. She won twice as a two-year-old and ran fourth in the Edward Manifold Stakes last week-end. She is racing at Caulfield on Saturday and a decision about the trip will be made after the race.
Foxseal, the veteran of eighty starts, has been nominated for the Lion Brown New Zealand Cup. He is a previous winner of the Brisbane Cup and has been placed in many of the feature staying events in Australia.
