‘The Press’ off list
The Christchurch Press Company has been taken off the Stock Exchange boards after the virtual completion of the takeover by Independent Newspapers. A spokesman for Independent Newspapers said that the company’s wholly owned subsidiary. Independent Publishers, only required between 15,000 and 20,000 Christchurch Press shares out of 11-5 million shares to take 100 per cent of the capital. .
