Newmans venture
South Pacific tourist destinations will be boosted in North America after the signing of the joint venture agreement between Continental Airlines and Newmans in Auckland yesterday. The pair have agreed to market a range of tour packages to Australia,
New Zealand and Tahiti under the trade name Continental Newmans Vacations.
Newmans* North American office in Los Angeles will be the base of the activity. “The vastness of the North American market means that many North American cities the size of Auckland, or larger, still have little knowledge to travel to the South Pacific,” Newmans managing director, Mr Rex Loach, said.
"The joint venture win open up those new markets with existing and
new products.” Agreements with other companies win continue to be maintained, with Newmans supplying transport to wholesalers and tour packages to Internationa] airlines. Continental will continue to service other wholesalers
