Victims still ‘serious’
Two persons remained seriously ill in hospital yesterday after separate road accidents last weekend. Lynnette Jean O’Neill, aged 35, of Arncliff Street, New Brighton, was still on the seriously ill list at Princess Margaret Hospital, but was improving. Mrs O’Neill suffered internal injuries when the car
in which she was travelling struck a power pole early on Saturday. Hunaki Peter Raymond Lewis, aged 58, who suffered a severe head injury when his cycle was involved in a collision with a car at Hornby, remained in Christchurch Hospital’s intensive-care unit.
