Counties Cup aim for Beks
The Riccarton mare Beks has been aimed at the Counties Cup on November 28, two weeks after the New Zealand Cup meeting. Beks will be running in the Banks Peninsula Cup and the Benson and Hedges Gold Cup leading up to the northern event but .is not a starter in the Lion Brown New Zealand Cup. • Beks, winner of the Terrace Regency Handicap at Trentham last January, is not regarded as a 3200 m horse at this stage by her connections though an Auckland Cup run may be considered if the. Counties trip brings rewarding results.
