Davison back on Deerstalker
Grant Davison will be reunited. with Deerstalker in the Satherwaite Handicap at the Timaru Racing Club's meeting at Washdyke on Friday.
Davison was associated with the Ngawyni gelding earlier in his southern career before a clash of engagements saw Chris Johnson inherit the ride.
Deerstalker has come through his Riccarton experience well according to the stable which was satisified with Bruce Beamsley’s handling of the horse in the circumstances.
Anthony Hunsche will ride Danseuse Royale in the Timaru Herald Stakes while the Hay stable will produce the former northern maiden Have It Your Way for her southern debut in the Vistalite Maiden.
The Star Way mare was placed three times from eight starts in the north. The Mean Machine was to leave Ashburton today and fly to the United States on Friday.
