Bowden family.— Barbara Bowden, 7 Rudge Street, New ' Lambton, 2305, New South ■ Wales, Australia, is looking for descendants of Moses Bowden, and information about his journey to Australia and other details about his life. One of his sons, Moses, jun., was born in Cornwall in • 1853-54. The other children were named Simon, Thomas, Richard and Mary. Moses, • jun., was married at Single- ; ton, New South Wales, on June 30, 1879, to Mary Anne i Daly, and one of their sons, • Stanley Bowden, married Doris M. Thomas. They lived , at Carrington, Newcastle.
Hamilton family.— Sandra Wilson, 688 Worcester Street, Christchurch 6, wishes to learn about her great-great-grandparents, Susannah Jane (nee Mace, adopted Lodge and possible Wort), and Thomas Morten Hamilton. The couple were both from England and married on October 14, 1865, at St Andrew’s Church. They had 10 children living at the time of their deaths in 1924 and 1921 respectively. Mrs Sandra Wilson would like to hear from anyone in Christchurch who could help her in identifying their children. Susannah’s mother, Mrs Rosannah
Lodge, of Riccarton, who died in 1916, owned stables and a boarding house next to the saleyards at Riccarton in 1900. She had a son, William Lodge, who played rugby for Canterbury about 1900. Kerr family.— G. G. Irvine (R. D. Brightwater, Nelson) is trying to trace the ancestors of John Kerr and his wife, Janet, who arrived by ship at Nelson In 1842 with their six sons, James, David, Peter, John, Walter and William. David and John owned land with their father in the Ki-kiwa-Howard Valley district.
