Stolen tools recovered
An alert resident helped capture two burglars yesterday, leading to the recovery of tools stolen in a Monday night burglary of Parkview School, Parklands. The caretaker’s shed at the school was entered overnight and the burglary discovered yesterday morning. Shortly before 10 a.m. yesterday a Parklands
resident saw two youths loading property into a car. He considered their actions suspicious and called the police. A patrol went to the scene and recovered the tools. Other property believed to have been taken in earlier burglaries was also found.
The youths, aged 17 and 19, have been arrested on a charge of burglary.
