Forestry fatality
Nelson reporter A man was killed after being hit by a falling tree in the Tasman Forest at Lower Moutere, near Motueka on Monday. He was James Hugh Crawford,aged 35, of Pangatotara in the Motueka Valley. Mr Crawford was married with three children.
The accident happened at 7.45 p.m. while Mr Crawford was cutting off branches from a felled tree.
