$l000 scholarships

Four students, including one Canterbury University scholar, have been awarded $lOOO scholarships by the Association of Accredited Advertising Agencies of New Zealand. The winners, Hugh Melton (Canterbury University), Christopher Clegg (Victoria University), Christopher Tremain (Massey University), and Reva Childs (Auckland University) have been given the money to assist in their academic studies.

This is the second year that the association has awarded scholarships to final year business, commerce or marketing students with high academic and personality backgrounds. Its aim is to encourage graduates to become involved in the advertising industry. Scholarship winners are given the chance to visit an advertising agency, and at the end of the academic year, be employed by an agency.
