r MAJOR FOOD PROCESSOR/EXPORTER Commercial Director and Operations Director Neg $7O 000 + benefits Auckland Two very senior executive appointments, reporting to the Chief Executive, become available with restructuring of one of New Zealand’s premier food companies. The restructuring stems from not only the quite exceptional growth of the business but also the positive plans for its further extension and development, in respect of both geographic and 'value added product’ respects. Whilst the company is a relative newcomer to the food industry, having been established in 1980, its innovative and progressive methods have enabled it to achieve outright leadership in New Zealand and ranking in tne top 25 companies in the world for its particular business segment. Its objective is to continue to improve its international significance. Sales turnover in 1987 is expected to be NZ$l75 million, of which exports account for about 80%. The company forms part of New Zealand's largest and most diverse conglomerate (annual sales exceeding NZ$5 000 million and including major multi-national activities). Funds for new investment in major plant/capital requirements are accessible from the parent group as justified: the company is recognised as one of its most rapidly expanding business units. The immediate attractions of these positions are further enhanced by the longer term prospects available in the entire Group. Applicants’ backgrounds should have included marketing of branded consumer products. Operations Director The primary accountability of this position is to keep the company in the forefront of its field of food processing technology and to ensure achievement of optimum productivity/efficiency/quality standards in all aspects of Operations, which are currently based in four locations.-Relevant industry and official liaison will be a key responsibility.
