The salary scale attracts a maximum of $64,350, and a car and other benefits are provided. 1 CITY ARCHITECT I As a result of restructuring in the Architectural Division we seek a City Architect, reporting to the Director of I Works. The person must be qualified and registered with experience in design and construction, together with skills in contract and practice management. The 1 job holder would be the architectural adviser and specialist consultant to the City Council. 1 The position offers responsibility, challenge and the potential forking term advancement prospects. We rei quire a person with extensive technical skills, along with highly developed organisational and co-ordinating abilities and personal motivation. A competitive salary is offered including participation in the Council’s superannuation scheme. PROPERTY MANAGER The Dunedin City Council currently owns approximately 1,000 properties, a large proportion of which are revi enue earning and held subject to various statutory restrictions. The Council has already taken steps to ra- . tionalise this major resource but believes that there is still enormous potential for both an improved return on * investment and better management of property gener- ! ally. Therefore, it seeks to appoint a person of drive and ability to the position of Property Manager. An attractive I remuneration package will be negotiated with the successful candidate. i The Property Manager will be the head of a small Property Section and. as such, must have experience and qualifications to evolve innovative plans for property development or investment projects and co-ordinate the management of diverse property functions on a corporate basis.
