Robbery near Square
A man who withdrew $3O from a Colombo Street money machine on Tuesday evening was followed and robbed by three men, one claiming to have a knife.
Senior-Sergeant Rob Pope said the man withdrew the money about 10.40 p.m. from a machine just north of the Square.
Three men then followed him to Oxford
Terrace where they confronted him. Two of them held him while he was told of the knife and ordered to hand over the money, which he did.
Senior-Sergeant Pope said the man did not see the knife. One offender was European, aged in his early 20s and about 173 cm tall, of thin build. He had a black moustache, dark
brown thick, curly hair of collar length and possibly tattoos on his hands and face.
He wore a black roundnecked sweater and jeans.
Another is described as European, thick set, about 173 cm tall with brown hair below the collar. He wore a light-coloured thick cotton zip-up jacket.
There was no description for the z third man.
