$10,000 and safe stolen
A safe containing $lO,OOO cash was unbolted from the floor of Glassons, Ltd, in Riccarton Mall and stolen at the week-end. The break-in was between 2 p.m. on Saturday and 2.30 p.m. on Sunday. Detective Senior-Ser-geant Colin Dalzell said the burglars got in through a rear door to the storeroom area. They then unbolted the safe and removed it, probably in a wheelbarrow. The safe, a 90cm tall Chubb, has yet to be found. Cheques and credit card vouchers were also in the safe.
