C.J.C. election

“A healthy sign, a show of strong interest in the C.J.C.,” said the chairman of the club, Mr John Austin, last evening, when referring to the election necessary this year for four members of the committee.

There were eight nominees, and the four successful candidates were Dr Jeff Louisson (with 412 votes), Mr G. E. J. Hutton (382), Dr Michael Kerr (373) and Mr George Rit-

chie (328). The unsuccessful candidates were Messrs R. B. McKenzie (239), D. S. Ogilvie (161), R. H. S. Kyle (160) and M. H. O’Neil (105). Mr Des Gregan, who did not seek re-election, and thanked by Mr Austin for his work for the club in the last 17 years, especially for his contribution towards course management and for his knowledge of land tenure.
