Return on wool

Sir,—l have just bought a suit which cost me $383. Pure wool, it weighs, including full lining and buttons, Ikg. Now, my season’s wool clip, sold at ,ax record price for me, bought $Bl6 a bale of 160 kg. This was’not all profit for I had to make deductions for feed, shearing, drenching and'wages; If my arithmetic is correct, 160 suits at $383 equals $61,280. I would very much like to know the manufacturers’ costs, for who can justify the price I am being paid for my wool? — Yours, etc., M. FERGUSON. Springs Junction, June 23, 1987.
