Promising instrumentalist
Fiona Pears was judged the Christchurch branch registered music teachers’ most promising instrumentalist, other than piano, when the Christchurch Competition Society’s festival continued yesterday. Audrey Tan, of Christchurch, was the most promising girl pianist. Also in the instrumental section, the winner of the George Russell Memorial Scholarship was Lal Baker (Christchurch).
