Plantation dedicated to Coast forester
A new beech plantation, on the north bank of the Inangahua River has been dedicated to a former president of the New Zealand Institute of Foresters, Mr Curt Gleason. Mr Gleason died .after he had been struck by a motor vehicle while out jogging in Rotorua last year when he was attending a conference.
The function was the
start of the week-long annual conference of the institute which begins formally in Greymouth today.
The chief executive of the Forestry Corporation, Mr Andy Kirkland, and the chairman of the Inangahua County Council, Mr Alf Cleaver, addressed those attending the function yesterday.
