Myxomatosis

Sir,—Mr Foley’s reply to my letter featured in the article “Myxomatosis: proposal was made by council” (March 23, 1987) was an excellent example of evading the question and avoiding the answer. A lot was said about nothing at all. I only wanted to know the names and professional qualifications of the scientists who are advising the Agricultural Pests Destruction Council on the advisability of reintroducing myxomatosis into New Zealand. Is this too much to ask?—Yours, etc., (Mrs) ANTOINETTE C. TARLTON. March 31, 1987.

[This letter was referred to the chairman of the Agricultural Pests Destruction Council, but no reply has been received.]
