Starting times amended

PA Timaru The Waitaki Trotting Club has amended its race starting times for its oncourse meeting at the Phar Lap Raceway, Timaru, tomorrow. The programme has been advanced by 20 minutes on the suggestion of the T.A.B.’s on-course division. “The TAB suggested we start earlier so that in the event of anything going amiss during the day, we would have some time up our sleeve,” said club President Mr John Coll. The non-tote two-year-old trot will now start at 12.50 and the first race on which the tote on-course will open starts at 1.10. Patrons will have to be alert for the first race as the totalisator cannot open on Anzac day until 1 p.m. The' remainder of the races will be run at half hour intervals, 20 minutes in advance of the previously advertised times.
