McAuley retains S.I. target championship

In the afternoon round he produced an excellent score to take first place, two points behind a New Zealand record. Shurrock had a close battle with Neroli Fairhall before winning, 1750 to 1705. Steven Henshaw, of Christchurch, made a clean sweep of the boys’ junior titles and also finished jointly with Shurrock on the best aggre-

gate. Earlier this year Henshaw won the national field title at New Plymouth. Henshaw, aged 14, started archery two years ago.
