Plastic surgery in Fiji

PA Hamilton A Waikato plastic surgeon and an anaesthetist are part of an Australasian team travelling to Fiji to do plastic surgery under an aid scheme. The plastic surgeon, Patrick Beehan, and the anaesthetist, John Moodie, will spend two weeks in Suva doing a range of

plastic surgery including the repair of a lot of congenital abnormalities Such as cleft lips and palates. Mr Beehan said the Victorian Rotary Club scheme — Interplast — financed a team to go to Fiji once or twice a year. There was no expertise, for repair work in the islands.
