Accident calls rise
St John Ambulance attended 168 road accident calls during March, compared with 147 for February. Other calls for the month included 134 to accidents other than road accidents, 20 to assault cases, and 101 to cardiac emergencies. Outpatient transport accounted for 737 of the 2403 patients carried during March. The ambulance service travelled a total of 37,172 kilometres.
