Netball seminar

The Canterbury Netball Association continues to ensure that the foundation for Canterbury netball is sound through the holding of coaching seminars, the first of which is to be held this Saturday at Hillmorton High School, from 9.30 a.m. to 3.30 p.m. The seminar will have the dual benefit of advice from New Zealand’s sole selector and coach, Lois Muir, who has just selected the New Zealand squad, and New Zealand’s

administrator, Anne Taylor. Canterbury netball officials are hoping to encompass a wide spectrum of players directly through the coaches and umpires attending by encouraging them to pass on the knowledge they gain to young players. “We are hoping it will be well patronised,” said Mrs Marie Erickson, the president of the Canterbury association.
