pA Auckland Police cars escorted a prison van holding four fighting gang members as it drove along the southern motorway. The reinforcements were called in for security when two Mongrel Mob members and two
Black Power members started scrapping, the police said.
The four men were being taken to Pukekohe and Papakura for court appearances on Tuesday. The police said the van, driven by two officers, “rocked” all the way along the motorway.
