Waikato Hospital is a 900bed base hospital providing a wide range of specialty services on a regional basts. The neonatal services comprise 9 Intensive Care beds and 24 Level n beds. There are two Paediatric Wards and a Child Development Centre. The : Paediatric Department provides regional specialty services in Neonatal Paediatrics, Oncology and Child Development The successful applicant will be the seventh Paediatrician in the Department There is a close association with two Paediatric Surgeons. A major sub-specialty interest In Neonatal Paediatrics is required and an interest In providing another sub-specialty service would be an advantage.
