Peace prize bid
The South Korean Leader of the Opposition, Kim Dae Jung, has been nominated for this year’s Nobel peace prize by 73 Social Democratic members of the West German Parliament “As an opponent and victim of dictatorial policies in North and South Korea, Kim Dae Jung has for decades fought for human rights as well as for a peaceful union of his country through democratic selfdetermination,” said the letter of nomination sent to the Nobel Academy in Oslo.—Bonn
